Cheryl Hosler



Owner, Artistic Director, and Choreographer



Cheryl Hosler is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she received a BFA in dance performance and was a member of the nationally acclaimed University Dance Company. While at OSU, she studied with several distinguished choreographers including Bebe Miller, Karen Bell, Rosiland Pierson, and Mark Taylor. She has over 35 years of dance teaching and choreography experience, and nearly 20 years of experience as a high school and college flag line and twirling instructor. She has also choreographed several high school and college musicals. In addition, she is instructor of dance in the Clemson University Department of Performing Arts and founder of the department’s dance program. She serves as Director of the University Dance Company and teaches classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary dance. She also teaches dance classes at Clemson Creative Academy and The Growing Place preschool, and serves on the School Improvement Council at Central Academy of the Arts.

Emory Ford



Choreographer



Emory Ford has been dancing since the age of 3 and started dancing at Cheryl’s Dance Studio when she was 9 and it quickly became her second home. She competed throughout middle and high school and loved the environment. After high school she decided to continue dancing and is currently pursuing her BA in dance at Anderson University where she has been able to study jazz, tap, ballet and modern from teachers all across the country. She hopes to use her education to pour into the younger generation and create safe spaces for kids to show their love for dance.



Arianah Roper



Choreographer



Arianah is a sophomore, Food Science and Human Nutrition major at Clemson University. She has danced at Cheryl's Dance Studio since the age of 3 and is currently a member of The University Dance Company at Clemson University. Arianah began competing at age 11 and competed through all of middle and high school. In high school she was an assistant teacher at Cheryl's Dance Studio.



Olivia Corlis



Choreographer



Olivia Corlis is a Clemson University nursing student from New Hampshire. She has been dancing since the age of 2 and was honored to be awarded the title of Teen Miss Dance of America. She was also in the Wizard of Oz on Broadway and was given the opportunity to dance for Royal Caribbean. After competing, Olivia has been teaching and choreographing around the country. She is currently a member of Clemson University’s Dance company, a member of Tiger Strut Dance Company and the Vice President of Clemson Dancers. She is so excited to teach and can’t wait for the upcoming years!



Allison Smith



Choreographer



Allison Smith is one of the many dancers who calls the studio her second home. Allison was a dancer at Cheryl’s Dance Studio for 12 years and has been a dancer for 16 years. She started competing at Cheryl’s in the 7th grade and continued to grow her passion for dance throughout those years. Allison was also an assistant teacher at the studio for three years in high school. She is currently a student studying Psychology at Clemson University in hopes to pursue her dreams as a clinical psychologist.



Marisa Swedberg



Choreographer



Marisa Swedberg is another “home grown” dancer from Cheryl’s Dance Studio. She grew up in Clemson and started dancing at just two years old. She has taken classes at Cheryl’s for sixteen years. She started competing in dance in the fourth grade and continued to compete through her senior year of high school. Marisa also taught dance as an assistant teacher at Cheryl’s for four years in high school. She is now attending Clemson University and dancing with The University Dance Company. She is majoring in Early Childhood Education and hopes to become a kindergarten teacher in the future.

Miranda Felt



Choreographer



Miranda Felt is a Food Science and Human Nutrition major at Clemson University with a double minor in Business Administration and Dance. She has been dancing for 18 year-end competitively dancing for 13, in her home town of Greenville, SC. She has been taught all styles of dance including, tap, hip hop, ballet, pointe, jazz and contemporary and musical theatre. She is currently captain of Tiger Strut dance team who competes at Nationals in Orlando, Florida. She is also a part of the Clemson Dancers Club. Miranda cannot be happier to work with new students and is excited for the upcoming year!
